New Canon EOS 1Ds MKII

25th January 2009

I have at last, after many discussions with amateur and professional photographers, bought the 1Ds MKII.
It was a toss up between the 1D MKIII and after all the advice I was given opted for the 1Ds MKII. It was agreed by all I spoke to, that the 1D MKIII doesn't lock onto birds in flight as good or as reliably as the 1Ds MKII, I have actually used the MKII, so I know how good it is in locking on.Some pro's have actually had big arguments with Canon over the MKIII and told me they have thrown them in the bin, how true this is I don't know.

Anyway, I look forward to using it and getting a lot better photographs than those aquired using the 20D.I was missing more than I was taking using the 20D for bird in flight shots. Though I still like this camera as it has done me proud in the past.
