My stay at Gigrin Farm October 09

I recently spent a week at Gigrin Farm in the Red Kite Cottage. A very nice cottage in great surroundings and is well worth a stay. Feeding 5 peacocks in the front garden every morning was the order of the day. Also, 2 bird tables full of sun flower seeds fed the smaller birds and the nuts fed the squirrels.
From this visit, I have, as you can imagine, a stack of Red Kite and Buzzard shots for you to see. These will addedd to my site after the upgrade has been done.
Elan Valley is a great place for Red Kites,Buzzards and Kestrels. If you have a scope, you can scan the surrounding hills and see these birds just sitting in fields soaking up the sun or on posts, for hours at a time in some cases.
No matter where you are in this valley you are gaurenteed to see Red Kites circling along side Buzzards.
