Biography
![]() Hi, My name is Alan Saunders an aspiring professional wildlife photographer. I am highly influenced by one of the worlds great wildlife photographers ANDY ROUSE who, little does he know, has inspired me into this field of photography. Little did I know how difficult it was going to be, which makes what Andy Rouse does all the more admirable. Also, its one of the most rewarding areas of photography, being out in the wild with all those elusive creatures, then suddenly something moves before you and you have to react very quickly and very quietly. Great, I have the shot, the wildlife has gone, another rewarding trip out in the wild. I didn't realise how much patience one would develop doing wildlife photography, hours and hours sometimes just waiting to get the particular shot you have in mind. That's why its so rewarding when you finally get the shot you set out to take. I live in Stockport in the North West on the outskirts of some great wildlife country. I'm a keen amateur photographer who is available for publishing and advertising work. I have recently had some of my work published by a Manchester based company and also had work published recently in the Motoring and Leisure magazine. I have also sold some of my images to an Italian publishing company for one of their projects. If there is a particular photograph you have in mind of a particular species, give me a call or send me an email with your request and I will see if it is possible. I am quite willing to go on assignments for people to get shots that they have in mind for there particular projects or publications they are working on. I strive, like all wildlife photographers,to get the best images and try to capture the wildlife in all its glory. At present I seem to be concentrating on wild bird photography, which this website depicts at the moment. I prefer to take photographs of birds in flight rather than a portrait or the bird just sitting on something. Its more of a challenge to get a good shot of something flying through the air at great speed than motionless,it also makes the shot look more dramatic. Bird photography is not easy by any means and when you spend all day from the early hours of the morning trying to get THE shot its very rewarding when you finally get it. Just getting one good shot out of a full days photography is rewarding and makes the day worth it, but more IS better. Well I'm off out again now for more birds in flight, so have a look at my current bird in flight shots,I hope you enjoy them. Feel free to contact me for any information regarding the use or purchase of my photographs.
