Below is an article in the Arran Bird report 2025 published in 2026 regarding the return of a Whimbrel tagged A2.
I was on holiday on the Isle of Arran at Kildonan, Isle of Arran 2025 for 2 weeks, I had my 600mm lens pointed out to sea from the bottom of the garden which is right next to the sea, Joan from just down the road who is a local birder, saw me and came over and explained everything about Whimbrel A2. I kept my eye out for it, then on the 24th April 2025, I spotted it and took quite a few photographs of it. I then reported my findings to Joan who let the person who creates the Arran bird report know, he then put an article in the bird report using one of my images which you can see below. I went back to the same place in Arran for a week this April 2026, but unfortunately we didn't see any sign of it, may be next year, fingers crossed.
